General Questions
We will keep using Whova as the platform, which was used at Networks2021 (NetSci2021) last year. You can use the email address you register for the conference to log in to the conference at Whova. If you are new to Whova, you need to register an account first using the same email. If you register the conference after July 1st, please wait for 1 or 2 days for us to import your information to Whova.
When you log into the Whova, choose and enter the satellite you organize. The Zoom room will be open 20 mins ahead of the satellite starting time. Please join at least 10 mins early. Once you are in the Zoom room, the room host will make the organizer co-host who has the authority to take control of the room. If the host does not recognize you (which could happen as the name in the room may differ), please talk to the host. The room host can be easily identified in the attendee list.
To help organize the session, we will also send you the zoom link in advance, in case someone has difficulties logging into Whova. Please check your spam if you could not find the email.
When entering the satellite session, we encourage the speakers to choose “Join in Zoom” to launch the Zoom App. Whova may not be very friendly to screen share but Zoom App is handy.
The satellite session will be recorded and the replay will be enabled for participants who registered for the conference. If you prefer your session not public, please let us know.
The video stream is on Zoom. If you used the Zoom meeting before, you should have no problem presenting your talk. When entering your session on Whova, we encourage the speakers to choose “Join in Zoom” to launch the Zoom App as the screen share function may not be very friendly on Whova App. You can also find Rehearsal Sessions on the agenda, which are open during the normal conference hours if you want to test your system.
Yes, the video for the school, invited talks and parallel sessions the will be kept for at least 3 months and the replay function is enabled. Participants who only registered the pre-conference can also view the replay when the conference ends.
First, only participants paid the registration fee to the conference can view your talk video. So it is not available to anyone. But if you prefer not to make the talk public, you can let us know and we will remove your talk from the replay channel. We will send out an email from EachChair to all speakers to have their confirmations.
Check the spam. The registration confirmation and the receipt are sent from NetSci2022@126.com. Requests about presentations/submissions are generally sent from EasyChair (netsci2022@easychair.org). General platform registration information is sent from Whova. In some cases, the email may be automatically blocked. If so, please contact us at NetSci2022@126.com or to any conference chairs. We will try our best to reply to you promptly and timely.
Networks2021 (NetSci2021) is applied this year. The speaker needs to prepare a short video (strictly between 4:30 and 5:00 long). An email from EasyChair will be sent to each speaker with the link to upload the video. If you did not receive the email, you can use the link HERE . Please name the video file with the abstract submission number such that we can distinguish which video is from whom. The talk video will be presented at the conference. Speakers are encouraged to be online during their sessions to answer questions through the Q&A function.
Each speaker is assigned a breakout room in the zoom, named after the title of the talk. Conference participants can choose to enter the breakout room. Inside the breakout room, the poster presenter and the conference participants can have free conversations about the poster.
To ensure a diverse range of submissions, we are not distributing a template.
Enter the breakout room 5 mins ahead of the session start time. You can prepare a few slides (just like a real poster) to show your work to the audience. You can also upload to the Whova platform your poster and a prerecorded video (between 3 and 5 mins) if you prefer. So conference participants who missed your poster can still get to know your work.
